Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Afanexo collects when you visit afanexo.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It applies only to this website; the operators we review have their own privacy notices, which you should consult separately.

1. Who we are, the data controller

Afanexo is an editorial desk operated from Edinburgh, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data-protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through afanexo.com. 2. What data we process

We try to keep data collection to a minimum. The categories we process are:

• Technical data automatically logged by your browser when you load a page (IP address, browser and operating-system identifiers, referring URL, pages requested, timestamps).
• Cookie and consent data — your choices in the cookie banner (essential cookies only, or essential plus optional analytics) and the age-gate confirmation. These are stored in your browser’s local storage.
• Optional analytics data, only if you accept it: aggregated, pseudonymised information about which pages are visited and for how long. We do not build advertising profiles.
• Correspondence you choose to send us (your email address and the contents of your message), if you write to [email protected].

We do not ask you to register an account, we do not collect payment data, and we do not process any special-category data on this site.

3. Lawful bases for processing

Essential cookies and technical logs

Lawful basis: our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in operating a functioning website, preventing abuse, and complying with our regulatory obligations as a UK affiliate (including the 18+ age-confirmation requirement).

Optional analytics cookies

Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give via the cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage or by re-opening the banner from the cookie policy page.

Correspondence by email

Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to readers and editorial enquiries, and the steps necessary to handle your request.

4. Outbound links and operator sites

When you follow a link from Afanexo to an operator site, you leave our domain. From that point onwards the operator’s own privacy notice applies. If the link includes a tracking parameter that lets us know the click came from Afanexo, this is used solely for commission attribution and is not combined with any data we hold about you on this site.

5. Retention

Server-side request logs are retained for up to 60 days and then deleted or aggregated to non-identifying counts. Optional analytics data, where consented to, is retained for up to 14 months. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the last exchange so we can answer follow-up questions, then deleted unless we have a legal reason to keep it for longer.

6. Sharing data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with our hosting provider (acting as a data processor under written instructions), and where we are legally required to do so. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK other than to providers operating under adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards.

7. Your rights under UK GDPR

• Access, request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification, ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure, ask us to delete data where one of the legal grounds applies.
• Restriction of processing, ask us to pause processing in defined circumstances.
• Objection, object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
• Withdrawal of consent, withdraw any consent you previously gave for optional analytics or marketing.
• Complaint, lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to put matters right first.

8. Children

Afanexo reviews real-money gambling services and is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly process personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has supplied data to us, please write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this notice

We may revise this notice as the site evolves. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage. The version below was last reviewed in May 2026.
